WHAT IS IN-HOME TRAINING?

One-on-one training in the convenience of your own home! In-Home Training takes place in your home, in an environment that is both comfortable and familiar to you and your dog. We encourage the whole family to participate in In-Home training sessions. In-Home training is especially useful for families:

• that are very busy and have difficulty committing to a regularly scheduled group class time;
• with dogs that are very shy or uncomfortable in new environments; or
• with dogs that are extremely stimulated by the environment and unable to process and learn new behaviors in distracting environments.

IN-HOME TRAINING PACKAGES

Single Session

1 training session, 45 minutes in length focusing primarily on mannerly pet behaviors: loose leash walking, recall, sit, down, etc.

Positively Mannerly Package

4 training sessions, 45 minutes each focusing primarily on mannerly pet behaviors.

Novice Rally I & II Package

In-Home Rally lessons combine the curriculum of the Novice Rally I and Novice Rally II group classes. Lessons are held at your home. I encourage students particpating in private training to join the drop-in classes Austin Dog Sports offers at no additional charge.

• 7 sessions, 45 minutes each
• $350 for homes within the South and Central Austin area
• Prereq: Heeling & Position or Intro to Rally Seminar or Instructor Evaluation

Custom Package

If you have specific needs that you would like to address with In-Home Training, please contact us. We may be able to customize a program to accommodate your and your dog's needs. For example, the Custom package is a great option for Rally and Obedience students who would like focus on specific behaviors taught in Austin Dog Sports' Recall & Heeling I and II classes or Rally classes.

Please note that Austin Dog Sports does not handle behavior modification for seperation anxiety, aggression, or phobias. If you are seeking to address these issues with your dog, we are happy to make a referral.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM IN-HOME TRAINING

Austin Dog Sports guarantees the amount of time spent with your dog, as well as the types of training methods that will be used. There is no guarantee of an end behavior - dogs vary in their rate of learning, and owners vary in their reinforcement of good behavior. We will happily discuss the methods we use and your dog's progress through the training process.

Austin Dog Sports believes that the relationship we build with our dogs is the most important factor to consider in training. For this reason, we utilize methods that we believe build and improve upon the dog/handler relationship.
