Austin Dog Sports

The Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification is a certification offered by the AKC that demonstrates a dog can pass a series of 10 tests, each of which demonstrating that the dog is a "good citizen."  For a description of the CGC exam items, visit the AKC's web site.

CGC testing is available in South Austin.  Testing at Southpaws Playschool is available for $10/student if a minimum of 4 students are testing in the same block of time. The cost for testing is greater if there are fewer than 4 students testing, ranging from $25-50.

CGC testing at your approved location is available to groups of 5 or more for $15/student.

Conflicts of Interest in CGC Training: Austin Dog sports will only test students that train under the evaluator's instruction if arrangements can be made to have a neutral third party available to step in for the evaluator for portions of the test.  Please note that CGC training listed below is basic obedience training.
